HOW MUCH DO FUNFAIR RIDES COST TO HIRE?

The cost to hire fairground rides depends on a few variables. These are mainly: which ride(s) it is, the event location, event date(s) and running hours.

Small children's rides range from around £400 - £1000 + VAT, family rides from around £1500 - £3000 + VAT, large rides from around £3000 - £4000 and major rides from around £10,000 + VAT. However, prices are calculated for each client, based on the individual event. For an accurate price on the rides you are interested in or to find a package that fits your needs, get a quote today.

WHICH AREAS DO YOU COVER?

Better Rides HQ is Manchester, but  we offer our services throughout the whole of the UK. We have operated our rides in Europe and as far as Hong Kong and Dubai, so distance is no problem! Wherever in the world you are, get in touch with our events team and tell us how we can help.

I NEED A FUNFAIR FOR MY EVENT - WHERE DO I BEGIN?

The easiest place to start is with a consultation. Our events team will gain a good understanding of your event and based on your needs, they'll be able to advise you on the best rides and attractions as well as technical, logistical and health and safety matters. We take care of everything!

MY EVENT IS QUITE SMALL - CAN YOU STILL PROVIDE A FUNFAIR?

For small events (less than 5000 visitors), it may not be financially viable to operate a full fairground.  It may be that just a few attractions would be more suitable.  Alternatively, you are able to hire the attractions that you want for a set fee, charging the public a fare (100% retainable by you) or allowing your visitors to ride for free.

For school fetes, small galas etc. we are usually only be able to offer the set hire fee option, due to travel expense, set-up and running costs.

CAN I HIRE RIDES FOR A PRIVATE FUNCTION?

We are able to hire out our rides to clients at a set fee for use at private events such as conferences, birthday parties and weddings or for marketing campaigns in promotional road shows etc.  Attractions will be fully transported, assembled, operated, dismantled and removed by our team.

ARE YOUR RIDES AVAILABLE FOR TELEVISION AND FILM?

Our rides and attractions have been hired for use in live broadcasts, photo shoots, TV adverts, television series’ and documentaries. They are at your disposal whether they are needed for just a few hours or over a period of several days or months.  You can hire anything from a single ride to a full fairground.

ARE YOUR RIDES AFFORDABLE FOR A CHARITY EVENT?

We want you to generate as much revenue for your charity as possible so we we will always give you the best possible price for attractions.  However, you may still find that if your event is relatively small, big rides may not be a viable option as they will usually cost into four-digit sums to hire.  You may find that fund-raisers that are tied in with a larger, mass participation event (such as a fun run or concert) would stand a better chance of working with major attractions.  Our most popular attraction for events of this type is the Reverse Bungee where the fund-raising organiser gets sponsorship for participants or charges a fare for riding (or both!).

WHAT IS YOUR HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY?

We operate within the regulations set out by HSE in Fairgrounds & Amusement Parks - Guidance on Safe Practice HSG 175.  Attractions we provide carry independent safety inspection certification (ADIPS), risk assessments (including COVID-19 risk assessment), method statements and public liability insurance.  All health and safety paperwork is available to clients upon request.  The attractions are transported, set-up/dismantled, operated and fully staffed by our team.
